I feel a bit out of place here as I am not actually an artist myself (not the drawing kind, at least) but the work that I do requires very frequent collaboration with artists.

To that end, I have made a profile here in hopes of building relationships with several different concept/sketch artists while also giving them a hub of sorts to find projects to apply their creative efforts toward. I am a filmmaker - writer and director, and usually producer, editor, and whatever else the situation calls for. Currently, I am writing a medieval short film and seeking grants and other fundraisers to get production off the ground, but one of the factors that will influence fundraising the most will be proper concept work.

If I can get the right character and landscape sketches, then I can begin recruiting costume designers and setbuilders, giving me enough material to shoot teaser trailers and promo segments, thus giving me something to market in regards to seeking investments and donations.

I don't work for any film company or studio - I am an independent, which means I am in this for the art and not for the money. I will likely spend plenty of my own money getting this film produced, and I am perfectly fine with that. I have seen some incredible things posted on this site, and I'm hoping that I can reach out to some people that are as passionate about their artwork as I am about my films.

While I am seeking help with my own project, I also want to do whatever I can to help this community grow and to provide opportunities for the many talented people on here. My films certainly have the potential of getting names out there and building reputation.
